MELBOCA has received a brochure entitled 'Bird Trails of the Weddin Shire' giving details of Birding Trails in the Grenfell area and a comprehensive Bird List for the area. Grenfell is in NSW, about midway between Parkes and Young. All details can be downloaded from their website by clicking www.grenfell.org.au/birdtrails Of possible interest to people considering visiting the area is that in March 2009, a flock of c 30 Turquoise Parrots was observed in the Weddin State Forest - a magnificent sighting.
