This page is for MELBOCA members to make contributions to the website with articles (including photographs) of interest to fellow members. The views expressed in contributions on the Members Contribution pages are the views of the individual authors and are not necessarily those of MELBOCA or BOCA.

Articles should be relevant to Melbourne and environs.  It is not envisaged that this page will be a chat page such as provided on Birding Aus, a listing of recent sightings as provided by Birdline Victoria, or a photo gallery as provided on the BOCA National Office website.  All submissions will be reviewed by a member of the MELBOCA Website Committee before being added to this page.

How to post a message

To post a message you need to be registered. Just click on the registration link and enter your preferred login name and email address. A password for the Members' Contribution site will be emailed back to you.

Alternatively, email info@melboca.org.au and we will register you.

Once you are registered you can click on the MELBOCA member login at any time to be involved.

Once you have been registered, you can login and either reply to an existing message or post a message of your own.

There will be a delay (hopefully less than 24 hours) whilst we review your posting before that message appears on the site.

Any photos that accompany messages should be a maximum of 500kb.

All messages to have the member's name at the bottom of the message to be posted.

Members’ photographs on this website

All photos displayed on this website have been taken by MELBOCA Members.  We are gradually building up a library of photos to supplement the information on the website and assist with bird identification.  However, we ask all photographers who have good quality digital photos of any of the bird species listed in the table for Recent Outings, or good habitat shots of any of the listed Birding Sites, to please make them available for display on the MELBOCA Website.  Please contact Damian Kelly or Bill Ramsay, info@melboca.org.au if you would like to assist.
